Super Samantha

Meet Samantha, a young, keen, talented, and visually impaired Athlete. In September 2021 Trefoil awarded Samantha £2,400 towards travel expenses to allow Samantha to participate in various sporting events across the country, enabling her fantastic sporting journey to continue.

Since receiving Trefoil’s grant, Samantha has competed at the European Para Youth Games, where she won her first Paralympic Bronze medal representing Team GB for Goalball. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment which Samantha thoroughly enjoys. Her mother stated: -

“All the traveling and Goalball experience she has been able to attend due to Trefoil is life changing, their support will never be forgotten at this stage of her sporting journey as an Elite Athlete from Scotland.”

Trefoil are proud to have supported Samantha in continuing her passion and are delighted to see the many successes she has had along the way. We cannot wait to see what is next for this promising young athlete.
