Elodie's Assistance Dog

In March 2021 Trefoil awarded Autism Dogs CIC a £4,500 grant to help train and provide Elodie, a teenager from central Scotland with an autism assistance dog. Elodie and her family have known of Autism Dogs for a number of years and were delighted when they recently got in contact to notify them that she had been paired with an assistance dog.

Both the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges facing Elodie have made going to school, engaging in activities and even leaving her home all daunting prospects. Elodie is excited to be receiving updates and photographs showing how her autism assistance dog Cookie is progressing in her training. It is hoped that when Cookie is fully trained, she will help Elodie attend school again and engage with her passions fully.

Trefoil are delighted to hear that Elodie is excited to see what her future holds when accompanied by Cookie.
