COVID-19 OUTBREAK
COVID-19 OUTBREAK - A MESSAGE FROM THE TRUSTEES
The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed official pandemic status for COVID-19. The UK Government has announced that we have now moved into the ‘delay’ stage. Advice has been issued relating to the social distancing measures we should all be taking to reduce the transmission of coronavirus.
We recognise that the outbreak of COVID-19 is exceptional and has already had an immediate impact on many of the charities, community organisations and individuals we support through grant funding.
We want to support those we fund as far as possible and reassure beneficiaries that we share their concern as they respond to government advice.
We understand that it may be difficult for beneficiaries to undertake planned work for the foreseeable future and to reach the intended outcomes of grants as we enter a period of social distancing.
We will be flexible with grants paid out over the last year and any restrictions imposed on them. We understand that beneficiaries may need to pause or change the work they are doing, adjust targets and move dates for any meetings or events. For the time being, beneficiaries should focus their attention on their team, themselves and their work.
Trefoil administrators are continuing business as usual remotely and ask that you get in contact with Sophie Mills (smills@wssociety.co.uk) if you have any concerns, questions or would like to provide an update regarding your activities.
Our thoughts are with you all throughout this troubling time.
Yours sincerely
The Trefoil Trustees
