Trefoil is excited to welcome our new chair, Dennis Trueland

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dennis Trueland as the new Chair of Trefoil House. Dennis brings a wealth of experience and passion to this role, and we're excited to have them on board.

Dennis is a former social worker and has a wide range of experience working with children in difficult circumstances. He spent five years as the Principal Officer for Save the Children Scotland, during which time he oversaw a number of initiatives providing great benefit for those in need. Additionally, Dennis is a former CEO of the Barony Housing Association, serving for 17 years in this role before his retirement. In this role Dennis led Barony through a huge transition in their operations due to changes in government funding, navigating numerous challenges to provide the best assistance to service users. Following his retirement Dennis has given up much of his time to charities, notably serving on the board of the Dunedin Canmore Housing Association and a as a trustee of Trefoil for six years.

At the same time, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jane Green, our outgoing Chair for her remarkable service over the last eight years. Under Jane’s leadership, Trefoil has achieved unprecedented milestones, including providing over £1 million in grants since her appointment, and bringing our charity into the digital sphere with a website and social media.

Jane’s dedication, passion, and tireless work have laid a strong foundation for our continued success. While she will be stepping down from her role as Chair, we are grateful that she will remain involved with our charity as a member.

Please join us in welcoming Dennis to his new role and in thanking Jane for her extraordinary contributions. Together, we will continue to work towards our shared vision and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
