Golf For Grants 2010

The Annual Trefoil Golf 4 Grants Tournament took place at Royal Burgess on Tuesday 8 June 2010. Fourteen teams took part in the competition on a typical Scottish summer day, ie it rained all day until the last team made it back to the Clubhouse! Each golfer collected a goody bag at the start of their round and the contents helped to sustain them. Our thanks go to A G Barr for the Strathmore Mineral Water, Tesco at Hermiston Gait for the sweet and savoury snacks and the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre for the whisky.

The economic downturn meant a less than full complement of teams took part. However, the teams’ enthusiasm and support for Trefoil raised over £3,000. The silent auction raised over £500 and a varied selection of raffle prizes, many donated by the participating teams, helped to boost the total. The funds raised help Trefoil to support children and young people both at home here in Scotland and across the world.
